President

Name: Alison Martín

Family: Husband, Richard, "fishes" and sells oysters and clams in Boquerón. Two teenaged sons: Riali and Chayen.

Town: Boquerón, PR since 1988.  Originally from Rhinebeck, NY.

Homeschooling: We started homeschooling in 1995. Although our homeschooling has been eclectic over the years, Riali and Chayen are currently studying with a distance learning program, Penn Foster High School.

Name: María Luisa Inserni

Family: Husband, Juan Reguero, is an attorney.   Three teenagers: Nika, Jan Paul, and Katia

Homeschooling: We started homeschooling in 1994.  We use the Waldorf method via Oak Meadow, but have added our own twist of eclectic homeschooling over the years.

Homeschooling: We started in 2005, when the twins were 7 months old, with the Glen Doman method.  We will soon be switching to the Montessori method.

Homeschooling: We began in 2002. All these years have been very eclectic with some influence from the Delayed Academics Approach by Raymond Moore.

Homeschooling: We have been homeschooling since 2001. We tried several teaching methods. In the early years we used Glen Doman approach, then Montessori, then Waldorf, then eclectic ( a bit of everything), and right now we are Unschooling with a bit of structure for Math and Spanish classes.

Family: Her husband, José Ulises Ramos, is an electrician and works with an environmental company in San Juan, PR. They have one teenaged daughter, Nathalie Nicole (13).

Homeschooling: We started homeschooling in 2006, using PACES (School of Tomorrow), but over time we have moved toward a more eclectic educational approach.

Homeschooling: We started homeschooling in 2006. We have been very eclectic and flexible in adapting and changing our teaching approach to that which best fits the children in the different subjects.
